March Goals | 2016

Happy March, everyone! I can hardly believe it’s already here and Spring is just around the corner! A new month means setting new goals, checking in with last month’s goals, and making sure I’m on track with my yearly goals. Some big things are happening behind the scenes here at LJP (*cough*NewBrandingComingSoon*cough*) and I can’t wait to share them with you all! My March goals are below. You can read more about how my goals are going in the LJP newsletter, which will be sent out this Friday, so sign up today (in the sidebar).

  • Read “The Practice of the Presence of God” for the Nancy Ray bookclub (to join, click HERE)
  • Continue to read through the Bible in one year
  • Shoot at least one roll of film per session
  • Photograph one birth (SO excited for this!)
  • Finish Financial Peace University and perfect our budget
  • Attend my TEN year high school reunion (I can’t believe it’s been 10 years!)
  • Take the next step towards becoming a member of our church
  • Take Sundays off of social media
  • Work through re-branding my site with Ravyn of Three Fifteen Design

One practice that I’ve found so helpful while setting goals is writing down my monthly goals on a post-it and putting it right in front of my computer where I’ll see it on a daily basis. It’s a simple thing but it’s helped me a lot and I’d recommend this to any of you who are trying to stick to some hard goals. Here are the goals I set for myself in the month of February. I’m so excited to say that most of them were completed! It feels so great to check these things off my list and move on to bigger and better things!

  • Send out the first installment of the LJP Newsletter (sign up in the sidebar!) : You can still sign up in the sidebar if you haven’t yet >>>
  • Continue to read through the Bible in one year. : I’m a little behind on this one, but still truckin’ along and love reading passages that I’ve never read before!
  • Donate the clothes that I’ve decided I no longer want/need : I’ve collected all the clothes I want to donate. It’s just a matter of donating them now! :/
  • Shoot one roll of film per session. : I should be getting some scans back this week and I can’t wait to share them! Woohoo!
  • Read “His Needs Her Needs” as part of Nancy Ray‘s book club (to join, find more info HERE) : Also got a little behind on this reading, but Vaughan and I are committed to finishing it this month!
  • Work through the first half of Financial Peace University and stick to our new budget
  • Cook at home at least 3 times per week

Thanks for following along on this journey to creating a better business and a better life. It’s not always as easy as setting a goal, but I think writing these down each month has held me to a certain standard of accountability that I’m so grateful for. I’d love to hear what goals (big or small) you’re setting for yourself! Leave a comment with your goals or a link to your blog so I can follow along!

Happy Tuesday!
